Vadim Babichuk
Vadim is a very promising spinto tenor. In 2019 he sang Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly in Theater Trier. Since September 2016, Vadim has been a member of the Young Artists Program at the Bolshoi Theatre, where he has been studying with Dmitry Vdovin and has also attended master classes with Neil Shikoff, Elizabeth Vidal, Diane Zola, Alessandro Amoretti, Irina Bogacheva, Svetlana Nesterenko.
In Bolshoi theatre Vadim performed parts such as Grinder in The Idiot by Weinberg, Maintop in Billy Buddby Britten, Workman and Coachman in Katerina Izmailova by Shostakovich, Don Curzio in Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart, Tierhändler in Der Rosenkavalier by Strauss, among others.
In October 2017 Vadim made his debut in Manon Lescaut by Puccini as Edmondo/Lampionio on the historic stage of Bolshoi Theatre. Currently he is developing his repertoire, preparing the parts of Vaudemont in Iolanta by Tchaikovsky, Vladimir Igorevich in Prince Igor by Borodin, Pinkerton from Madama Butterfly by Puccini and Macduff from Macbeth by Verdi.
Vadim Babichuk has performed numerous chamber music concerts at the Beethoven hall of the Bolshoi Theatre – performing Russian and Italian art songs and romances, and German lieder – with great musicians and pianists such as Liubov Orfenova, Giulio Zappa and Semyon Skigin.
