The Marriage of Figaro(Figaro pulm) Opera in four acts.
The opera’s activities are a direct continuation to the play "The Barber of Seville" by Beaumarchais and also in relation to the namesake opera by Rossini.

![]() Rosina has become countess Almaviva, Figaro has entered into the count’s employment and prepares for his marriage to Rosina’s chamber maid Susanna who is also eyed up by the count… The performance of the Beaumarchais play was forbidden in Vienna although they had permission to publish the book. Emperor Joseph II personally placed an order to Mozart. The Italian text of Mozart and da Ponte was more reasonable although the content that was quite sensitive at the time was brought out in full. Opera lovers embraced the piece with delight but the Viennese aristocracy protested against it for it seemed to them that the emperor had ridiculed them.
