![]() Housewife Clair dreams of a kiss – but not at once and certainly not the kiss of his husband. His husband Chris plans to celebrate his swop of jobs. The woman next door, Jenny, comes to complain about the children making noise in the garden – but the garden is empty and even the keys to the nursery are missing. What does all that nonsense mean?! Although Crimp’s handwriting is completely original and unique, we can, if we wish, to see in him the successor of several English dramaturges (Harold Pinter, Michael Frayn). Through the absurd-surreal style and scarce, polished dialogue the author builds up a world that has arrived to a point of collapse. As suitable for the best English play, you may also find a fair portion of the blackest humour.
Premiere on December 6, 2009 at the Harbour Theatre. Trailer:Production gallery: |
