Eisenstein’s wife Rosalinde, feeling bored, has also decided to attend the ball, disguised as a Hungarian countess. But the irony of fate makes Eisenstein fall in love with the Hungarian countess not realising that the countess is his own wife. Insulted by her husband’s infidelity, Rosalind now decides to teach him a lesson he will not forget…
The Bat premiered in Vienna in 1874. With its positive attitude to life, its melodies and sunny joy this operetta is already stepping into its third century of stage life. This work is very popular both in operetta and opera theatres and the orchestra and vocal pieces are performed by the best musicians all over the world. In Estonian, with subtitles in English.
