"My new authorial production "Man's Best Friends" asks: who is a man? And answers: man is a being, who has become aware of his existence. Walking on two feet, big frontal lobe, houses, money, art, cars and agriculture are merely consequences. The precondition is being conscious of oneself. That is where all begins. When being conscious of oneself is a drug, then the whole culture is a side-show.
The play is based on real life, the events take place in 1998 in Tallinn. If it can be called real life, that is. The characters are invented. At least, I think so. Man's Best Friends is a drama, where three characters form a love-triangle. An interesting man, a beautiful woman and the man's loyal friend. The man is an interior architect. The woman is...a housewife. And the man starts to design the woman's home. And the friend is loyal, but love is unexpected as always. And sometimes, as it is this time, love is truly unbelievable.
