JAAN WILLEM SIBUL

Jaan Willem Sibul graduated from the class of Teo Maiste in the Tallinn Conservatorium in 1988. He has been a soloist in the Vanemuine since 1992.

His roles in musical productions include: Enrico and Belcore (Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor and The Elixir of Love), Falstaff (Verdi’s Falstaff), Gianni Scicchi and Schaunard (Puccini’s Gianni Scicchi and La Bohčme), Valentin (Gounod’s Faust), Elviro (Händel’s Xerxes), Ben (Menotti’s Telephone), Silvio (Leoncavallo’s Clowns), Ramiro (Ravel’s The Spanish Hour), Henrik (Nielsen’s Masquerade), Father (Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel), Bachulus (Lortzing’s The Poacher), Dr. Doolittle (Lusens’s Dr. Doolittle and the Birds Opera), Knight of the Mirrors (Leigh’s Man of La Mancha), Motel and Lazar Wolf the butcher (Bock’s Fiddler on the Roof), Florimond Herve and Louis Philipp (Kalman’s The Violets from Montmartre and The Bayadere), Danilo (Lehari’s The Merry Widow), Count Hegedüs (Abraham’s Victoria and Her Hussar), Pappacoda (Strauss’s A Night in Venice), Uncle Joco and Herbie (Styne’s Gypsy), Saturnin (Anton’s Saturnin’s Game), Bartolo (Rossini’s The Barber of Seville), Prince Moritz Dragomir (Kalman’s Countess Mariza), etc.
