Dance Through Times

Performances only at locations outside the theatre, opportunity to order to a suitable location.
During the past years many people have already had the opportunity to enjoy beautiful dance from different historical eras; the programme consists of ballet numbers and even modern dance. This season several new numbers have been added to the programme as well as some other exciting innovations.

"Dance Through Times" has been prepared in cooperation with the Vanemuine Dance and Ballet School. The director of the programme is Jelena Poznjak-Kõlar. Dancers are instructed by the Vanemuine people Aivar Kallaste, Rufina Noor and the Vanemuine Ballet Director Mare Tommingas. The programme is presented by the pupils of the ballet school.

Vanemuine Dance and Ballet School was established in 1994 as a ballet studio by the Vanemuine Theatre. Currently two classes have successfully graduated from the school and the number of children who are enthusiastic about ballet I increasing constantly.

The Director of the Vanemuine Dance and Ballet School since the beginning has been the Estonian top ballerina Elena Poznjak-Kõlar.
