Based on Horace McCoy's novel They Shoot Horses, Don’t They? This is a serious story the wider context of which is the tough struggle for life and the primitiveness of consumerism; it is a story about a society that has not started to place a value on the self.
Mai Murdmaa has decided to use a different kind of synthesis that includes drama actors, dancers and a video installation. In addition the audience will hear live improvised music.
Sidney Pollack's film "They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?" in 1969 (starring Jane Fonda) was shown at the time in our cinemas, too.

The premiere on 14 October 2005 at the Harbour Theatre.
